Our company is located on the rolling hills of Lake Trasimeno at 300 meters above sea level. The Bittarelli family has lived and worked on these lands since 1940, first as farmers and since 1970 as owners. Thus the family-run Bittarelli farm was born, which extends over about 30 hectares and uses the organic method and land rotation for its productions, to obtain a quality harvest.
Since 2003, together with the cultivation of lentils and cannellini and borlotti beans, we have started the production of small national chickpeas, spelt, barley, grass peas and Trasimeno bean, an ancient legume that has found in these places the ideal climate and soils to become a unique product and of high quality, protected by the Consorzio Fagiolina del Trasimeno. It is characterized by its colour, white or polychromatic, its small size and its unique and delicate flavour. The bean is harvested by hand and the cultivation is carried out in full respect of the environment.
In addition to legumes and dried cereals, we have created the line of "the Already Ready", soups, velvety and legumes, immediately ready and quick to taste, prepared according to our traditional recipes. Excellent for preparing first courses, side dishes or as a combination with other dishes. Without preservatives they are genuine and natural products.
Since 2017, our products have been VeganOk certified which guarantees the consumer precise ethical and environmental characteristics. Organic and in conversion ones are certified by Bioagricert.
If you are looking for an original idea for a gift, we offer you three imaginative personalized boxes, printed on beautiful recycled cardboard, in two formats to contain all the Bittarelli and Trasimeno delicacies. We deliver and ship our products, packaging and gift baskets throughout Italy and abroad.
Since 2013, the Agricola has also been an Educational Farm with the aim of proposing active educational activities to children and adults, through practical experiences, to make known and pass on the crafts of farmers and the peasant world, the products of the garden and other crops, respect for the environment, knowledge of typical and genuine products and their tasting.
